Zdeněk Kunc

Zdeněk Kunc was born in 1983 in Chřibská (Czechia/EU), site of the oldest Central European glassworks dating back to 1414. Consequently, he had been exposed to the art of glass since early childhood, all the time developing a deep affection which resulted in enrollment at Nový Bor Glass School.

During his studies, he hitch-hiked all over Western Europe with a backpack full of tools of the trade and established professional contacts which have lasted to this day.

After nine years as an apprentice, he became a teacher at the same school, specialized in glass blowing and glass cutting.

These days, apart from custom glass production and free art, you may find him perfecting the art of conducting a glassmaking show or an interactive workshop to both enternain and educate.
